Iceland is truly a magical place, and I still can’t believe how lucky I was to experience such a breathtaking day with Halldora and Orn. It’s a place that immediately captivates you with its wild beauty, but nothing could have prepared me for how the day unfolded.

We were blessed with an incredible amount of sunshine in March, which, as everyone kept reminding us, is quite rare for that time of year. Locals couldn’t stop marveling at our luck, and honestly, it felt like nature was putting on its best show just for us.

Every location we visited was nestled within the stunning Snæfellsjökull National Park, just west of Reykjavik. The park’s dramatic landscapes, with its snow-capped mountains, black sand beaches, and jagged lava fields, were nothing short of surreal. As we moved from one location to the next, I found myself pausing just to soak it all in, the grandeur of it all.

One moment that will stay with me forever was when we reached a cliff overlooking the ocean. The waves crashed powerfully against the shore, yet the scene felt peaceful. Halldora and Orn stood there, completely in the moment, wrapped in each other’s arms with the sunlight casting a soft, golden glow around them. It felt like time slowed down, and for a few minutes, the world was just them and the endless horizon. I remember thinking how lucky I was, not only for the sunshine but for the privilege of capturing their love in such a magical place.

Iceland has a way of reminding you how small we are in the grand scheme of things, yet at the same time, how deeply we can connect with each other and the world around us. It was a day of pure wonder, and I’ll cherish it always and look forward to continue my adventure as an Iceland wedding photographer.
